Telecommunication Engineer Iii Jobs

Apply working knowledge of BICSI, IBC, ANSI/TIA, and NFPA regulatory and code requirements to site facilities.

Familiarity with Telephone, LAN/WAN and Distributed Antenna System requirements.

10+ years of cumulative relevant experience.

Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or Electrical Engineering (Associates or BS) a plus, which may offset some required years of experience.

Experience in 2D MicroStation or AutoCAD drawing, S3D Modeling, or Revit Modeling for preparing detailed design deliverables and design packages.

Availability to work fully local in Fluor's Sugarland TX office.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Computer knowledge necessary; Word, and Excel experience beneficial.

Minimum of one year of receptionist, switchboard, or other communications related experience.

Demonstrated excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Answers incoming telephone calls on telephone console; directs calls to requested or appropriate extensions.

Controls paging system and relays messages through the pager, phone and/or email systems.

Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, or, ability to obtain it within 6 months of employment.

Knowledge of Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI) is preferred.

Knowledge and understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) design, implementation, and troubleshooting, including switch and Router configuration.

Knowledge of Wide Area Networks (WAN) and related technologies, such as MPLS, VPN, and leased lines.

Experience with electronic mail systems and gateways, including Microsoft Exchange and SMTP Servers.

Knowledge of and experience with Mitel 5000 and Mitel 3300

Excellent customer service, communication and analytical skills

Knowledge of VoIP, SIP and diagnostic tools

Ability to learn and expand skills sets in a variety of technical areas

Install, configure and maintain telephone systems.

Accurately troubleshoot and decipher problems by asking probing questions and utilizing available resources.

Certifications: Avaya Communication Manager, Cisco Network and/or Call Manager, NEC Univerg Communications, Nortel SL100, ITIL v1-v4.

Escalates unresolved or major issues to I.T. supervisor Manager.
