Strata-G is seeking an experienced Telecommunication/Networking Engineer with the following:


This position will serve as a Telecommunication/Networking Engineer with demonstrated subject matter expertise with industrial Telecommunications, fiber optic & copper cabling and associated cabling infrastructure, network design and equipment requirements.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement effective network and networking equipment designs that include providing specifications, schedules and drawings that comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective cabling and infrastructure designs that include providing specifications, cable schedules and drawings that comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Provide technical direction, guidance and demonstrated expertise in the development and implementation of the ISP & OSP fiber optic / copper (CAT 6 & above) cabling and associated cabling infrastructure [MDF/IDF Room &Telephone Closet design & layout, cabinet/panel & enclosure layout, cabling pathway design].
  • Apply working knowledge of BICSI, IBC, ANSI/TIA, and NFPA regulatory and code requirements to site facilities.
  • Familiarity with Telephone, LAN/WAN and Distributed Antenna System requirements.


Qualifications


  • Experience in 2D MicroStation or AutoCAD drawing, S3D Modeling, or Revit Modeling for preparing detailed design deliverables and design packages.
  • Experience with Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Building Code (IBC) and American National Standards Institute/Telecommunications Industry Association (ANSI/TIA) codes and standards.
  • 10+ years of cumulative relevant experience.
  • Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or Electrical Engineering (Associates or BS) a plus, which may offset some required years of experience.
  • Availability to work fully local in Fluor's Sugarland TX office.
