IGTD Industrial Designer - Plymouth, Minnesota

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a very dynamic and fast-growing business at Philips.

Strong CAD skills, including free surface modeling (Rhino Preferred.)

Experience performing exterior styling and interior layouts.

Experience creating lighting arrangements and interior styling strategies.

Must possess strong communication skills.

Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Extensive boating & saltwater fishing experience.

Design strategic and tactical solutions to complex Pinner problems in close partnership with product management, engineering, and research

Proven track record envisioning, building, and iterating on digital products in close partnership with product management and engineering

Collaborate with and manage feedback from stakeholders across the company

Strong portfolio that demonstrates outstanding design skills (prototyping is a plus) and product thinking informed by qualitative and quantitative insights

Great communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate your design decisions and the problems they're solving

Team player with strong collaboration skills and ability bring cross-functional partners along in the journey

7+ years of Product Design experience

Mastery of your craft, including strong visual & interaction design skills, prototyping, and UX best practices

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus: Experience building products that are B2B but with a consumer aspect (essentially B2B2C)

We offer a competitive salary and benefits program that includes:

5 - 10 years of experience in HVAC/Mechanical systems design

Experience in the semiconductor/clean room industries

Prepare accurate HVAC and specialty piping system construction drawings and specifications for submittal review and construction administration

Prepare preliminary schematics and final designs, calculations, equipment selection and layout

Interface with other disciplines, clients, and contractors

Boating experience is not required, but a general knowledge and passion for creating recreational products is a must

Balance product appeal, functionality, and manufacturability to create designs that enhance the boating experience

Create critical design touch points and consumer experience narratives

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent problem-solving skills are a must

Strong aesthetic sense and artistic skill
