Staff Industrial Designer Jobs in Kansas

Four-year degree in Design, Industrial Design, Fine Art, or similar area of study, or equivalent experience

4+ years of design experience

Computer design system skills including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop

Experience in CAD illustration or 2D/3D software such as Solidworks

Experience in physical prototyping and building mock-ups

Basic knowledge in shop tools and machinery

Maintains Professional and Technical Knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Creative and technical skills to provide visual communication of concepts.

Requires working knowledge of PC based desktop illustration and CAD programs.

Maintains Professional and Technical Knowledge by

Enhances Consumer Appeal of Product by contributing to or establishing the aesthetic and functional design of products.

Supports Marketing Efforts by providing drawings for ad agencies, marketing and consumer printed material.

Gather VOC (Voice of Customer), determine CCR’s (Critical Customer Requirements) and then translate consumer needs into tangible, desirable product solutions.

Well-developed written and oral communication skills. Well-developed and demonstrated interpersonal skills.
