Proven experience in scheduling, logistics, or a related field, preferably within an EMS or healthcare environment.

Strong computer skills and proficiency in scheduling software tools.

Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to scheduling (preferred).

The Scheduler will collaborate with other departments to ensure operational needs are met.

Verifies patient eligibility and coverage for procedure, obtain precertification's, and discuss potential financial obligations with patient.

Obtains precertification or proper insurance approval prior to surgical procedures.

Notifies and forwards paperwork for insurance certification to billing office and obtains additional paperwork if needed, for compliance.

Coordinates surgery schedule with patient, physician and operating room, in support of surgery scheduling function.

Monitors surgery schedule and ensures optimization of resources and workflow.

One to Three (1-3) years of demonstrated security management, security operations, and customer service experience. California B.S.I.S. certification is required.

Management of projects and special assignments.

Ensure CSS employees and operations at the client site comply with client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and training requirements.

BS degree in food related or relative experience

Provide best possible trips, working with customers and auditors on audit dates

Efficiently and accurately uses any technology and any software required to complete his/her job or as required by management

Routinely completes all of HIPAA Privacy and Security training as required by Pivot management team and adheres to these privacy policies

Participates in regular meetings and any other training as requested by management

Submits expense reports in a timely manner as directed by management.

Has strong understanding of health insurance and be able to confidently explain benefits to the patient and answer front office questions

Documents workflows, keeps up to date with insurance changes and requirements of those carriers

Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain and supporting processes (e.g. Planning/Scheduling, Logistics, Sourcing, Production, Quality Management systems, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting or Business

A minimum of 8 years relevant Supply Chain, Manufacturing Planning and/or Supply Planning experience is required

Experience in Cell & Gene / Personalized Medicines, Pharma or Biologics manufacturing / Supply Chain is highly preferred

Facilitate and orchestrate evaluation of pre-requisites to support capacity protocol development and study/development runs in coordination with the site cross-functional team

Assist with the development of investigations and root cause analyses on any supply disruptions associated with scheduling activities
