Job Description

Summary


This position will report to Production/Logistics Shift Leader and is responsible for ensuring all product is received and processed to maximize profitability of the Washington Processing Plant and Washington Live Production.


Principal And Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Work closely with operations management team.
  • Coordinate daily production of all products in Washington with supply planning.
  • Provide scheduling direction to plant management and associates to ensure completion of customer, further processing plants and internal plant WIP required orders.
  • Coordinate with sales team to maximize efficiency, yield, and profitability of Washington product.
  • Completion of weekly harvest schedule for Plant and Live Production.
  • Define and coordinate daily production capabilities by product code for processing plant.
  • Maximize profitability of production at Washington Plant and Live Production keeping all product in desired channels (NAE versus Conventional; value added versus commodity).
  • Provide compliance tracking for "fill rate" for customer orders, further processing facilities, and product based for internal plant use.


Minimum Education


Bachelor's degree in business or related field, plus 3-5 years of poultry processing experience to include yields, cost, profitability drivers and production planning, or at least 3 years experience without degree.

Experience Preferred


  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint experience needed.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and/or continuous improvement programs preferred.


Environmental Factors And Physical Requirements


  • May need to move light equipment or supplies form one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • Exposed to noise ranges up to 100 decibels.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
  • Must wear and use personal protective equipment and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company.
  • Will be exposed to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • May handle product 50 degrees fahrenheit or colder.
  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in a food processing facility.
