You will prepare journal entries to record grant activities including recognition of revenue and receivables as appropriate.

You will assist in the preparation of the annual Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) and related footnote disclosures.

Maintain Electronic Grants Management System records in compliance with institutional and sponsor policies for all proposals and progress report submissions

Field inquiries from Department Administrators and PIs, and communicates institutional policy, procedure and documentation requirements.

Review Request for Proposals (RFPs) for eligibility and clarify requirements as needed

Verify that all sponsor submission requirements have been met in advance of signatory approval.

Work with Manager or mentor on complex transactions, including the review of federal contract solicitations and applications.

Work with faculty to identify and organize all requirements necessary for timely progress report submission

Coordinating and facilitating changes to budgets and proposals during final review and grant submission by MGB Research Management

Maintain familiarity with sponsor (e.g., NIH) and MGB Research Management policies and procedures

Requires B.S. degree in Accounting or Management. Masters preferred

Senior Grant Administrator (remote eligible) Radiology

Requires extensive knowledge of grants and contracts, research administration and Medical School and Hospital activities.

Support the grant proposal and reporting process throughout all stages of the research grant life cycle

Possess excellent keyboarding/data entry skills.

Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, interpersonal and administration skills essential.

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be adaptable to changing job requirements and deadlines.

Demonstrate excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills and organizational and problem-solving skills.

Minimum of two years related experience required.

o Establish internal controls to ensure compliance with granting agency requirements.

Exceptional knowledge of accounting, budgeting, grants management and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Three years of health care or nonprofit grant accounting experience, preferably in a federally qualified health center (FQHC).

Perform accounting functions to support the Chief Financial Officer and Finance department.

Monitors and ensures compliance with federal, state, local and special program reporting requirements for grant activities.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university.

Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration is preferred.

Prior experience in accounting, auditing, public administration, higher education, or other related field.

Three years of professional business administration, grant and contract administration, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

High level math/accounting skills, strong reading comprehension skills, ability to interpret guidelines and instructions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and customer service

Knowledge of regulations related to sponsored projects from private, state and federal sponsors

Manage and coordinate yearly financial audits and state audits as it pertains to the Grant Management component

Conduct monthly meetings with GL Accountant and Regional Program Manager to resolve reconciling items.

Understand specific grant requirements; ensure compliance on contract conditions and ensure reporting requirements are met.

Abila/Sage MIP General Ledger Experience

Maintain records to ensure individuals that are allocated to federal grants are not overallocated.

Strong understanding of grant accounting

Coordinate with grant managers to keep an updated schedule of reporting requirements

General Ledger tracking & reporting on grant expenditure activities

Review and setup of awarded grants fund codes in the General Ledger

Verification of payroll related expenses to grants with proper documentation

File for reimbursement from all reimbursable grants

Create procedure manuals that document best practices for implementation & monitoring
