Overview A Senior Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing and administering employee benefit programs. They are responsible for researching and evaluating benefit plans, developing and implementing benefit policies, and providing guidance and support to employees on benefit-related matters. Detailed Job Description A Senior Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing and administering employee benefit programs. This includes researching and evaluating benefit plans, developing and implementing benefit policies, and providing guidance and support to employees on benefit-related matters. The Senior Benefits Specialist will also be responsible for creating and maintaining employee benefit records, preparing benefit reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of employee benefit plans, policies, and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret data
• Ability to develop and implement benefit policies
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits administration
• Professional certification in Human Resources or Benefits Administration (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, etc.)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of employee benefit plans, policies, and procedures
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (e.g. ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.)
• Knowledge of benefit plan design and administration
• Knowledge of employee benefit trends and best practices
Job Experience
• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits administration
• Experience in developing and implementing benefit policies
• Experience in managing and administering employee benefit programs
• Experience in preparing benefit reports
