1 year of proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or related safety experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in developing safety programs and working with IIPP.

Strong knowledge of general OSHA standards. (State and Federal).

Experienced in powered industrial truck training (PIT) and related operational standards.

Accident reporting including: Claims Management, Case Management,Incident Investigation Documentation & Root Cause Findings.

New Hire Orientation including OSHA Certification, Safety Manual review including Incident Report Forms, Toolbox Topics, Boot Voucher Program, PPE, Tools/Equipment.

OSHA Certifications & Tracking, Weekly Toolbox Topics.

Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience with ERP/IT systems – Dynamics AX experience preferred.

Displays strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills.

Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage priorities, and see projects through to completion.

Coordinate, manage, inspect, and schedule the appropriate handling, removal, and disposal of onsite hazardous waste.

Work closely with the Utilities Safety and Training Manager in scheduling training for departmental staff.

Completion of OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification within 12 months of hire.

Assist in the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.

Assist in the preparation and administration of the Emergency Services Program and occupational safety and health budget.

Organize, schedule, and coordinate Emergency Services Program activities and other related programs; conduct special interest programs and presentations.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Delivers GFS safety training and education necessary to meet regulatory OSHA compliance requirements and GFS safety objectives

Tracks training completion utilizing the learning management system and provides reporting on training completion to employee and supervisor

Supports the Maintenance Department’s Contractor Safety Program, Process Safety Management (PSM) Program

Monitors effectiveness of training by auditing employee knowledge, observing employee behavior and tracking incidents

Manages the incident and injury investigation process and works with supervisors to determine required follow-up and corrective actions

Ensure compliance with IKEA Risk Management Standards on a consistent basis via audits, follow-up, education and training and reports.

Work in partnership with the Safety and Security Manager and other unit leadership to investigate sensitive issues.

Safety and security experience preferred

Knowledge of security protocols and alarm system equipment and software monitoring.

Experience with investigation methodology and disaster response.

Shift: 2nd shift Benefits Eligible: Yes The hourly pay range for this role is $20.60/hr - $29.36/hr.

Complete other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance & Safety Manager.

General knowledge of plumbing, electricity/wiring and carpentry.

Experience with MS Office and Google Workspace or ability to learn new technologies and software.

Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, safety, business or a related field

Enforcing corporate and project specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state and local safety standards

Assisting in the development and coordination of project specific safety program

Identifying known/potential exposures and recommend corrective action

Reporting project-specific safety performance and future plans

Working closely with field supervision to plan complex safety aspects of the project construction including critical lifts, hazardous material handling, etc.

Biased for action with excellent program management skills

Lead a team of program managers and engineers to build and maintain a highly effective Cruise Safety Management System

Expertise in safety analysis and risk management for autonomous vehicles
