Data entry and computer skills

Administrative duties including: completing paperwork, maintaining patient files, answering phones/calling patients, data entry, running reports, checking patients in/out, scheduling follow-ups

Prior clerical or clinical experience is desirable but not required

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

CPR certification may be advantageous

Prior office management experience is strongly preferred but not required.

A certificate or diploma in Office Management (or similar field) is preferred but not required.

Schedules new and existing patients.

Registers new and existing patients into the hospital’s EMR computer system.

Patient insurance information is collected and scanned for all patient charts.

Work with customer facility and corporate management staff, supervisor and consultants in planning all aspects of the Therapy Department operations

Completion of post-secondary education or otherwise be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions.

Must have related therapy and administrative experience at a level necessary to accomplish this job.

Maintain a working knowledge and ensure compliance with all governmental regulations.

Has hiring authority; may approve offers within grid with input from the Supervisor.

Supervise, conduct and participate in department and facility education activities and staff meetings as appropriate.

Works with education to develop training programs for staff.

Knowledge of acute care and outpatient care.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Health Care Administration preferably in a multi service facility.

Five years of rehab experience (PT or OT)

Works with Human Resource Department to keep department staffed.

Monitor and report on all customer service issues to Liaison Manager and appropriate SLRI personnel.

Schedule ongoing in-services and professional presentations for referral sources, community groups and other organizations regarding SLRI services, programs and patient outcomes.

Determine medical appropriateness of patients and support the admission process by gathering and transferring medical information to the appropriate team members.

Ensure the accurate documentation of referral and admission activities.

Perform all other duties that may be assigned.

Communicates daily with Account Manager / Rehab Manager, assigned customer service if needed regarding delivery and/or service requirements.
