Assists Project Management in developing site specific safety plans

Conducts safety audits to insure compliance with OSHA, Federal and State requirements

Wide-spread knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, MOT, and Environmental standards and regulations.

Development and implementation of current safety training programs as required

Conducts site specific new employee safety orientations

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Proficiency in using safety management software or tools is preferred.

Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to develop site-specific safety plans and ensure their effective implementation.

In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and industry best practices.

Proven experience in developing and implementing effective safety programs.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and train employees at all levels.

MSHA Instructor Eligible (has Required Experience On Mine Sites)

"O" Occasionally - (up to 3 hours/day)

"F" Frequently - (3-6 hours/day)

"C" Constantly - (6-8 hours/day)

Knowledge of key Occupational Safety requirements and procedures

Knowledge of key Environmental requirements and procedures

Compliance Programs, Facility Safety, Hazard Communications (HazCom), Incident Investigations, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Assessments, Safety Inspections, Safety Management

Associates Degree + 2 years’ experience Preferred

High School Diploma with 4+ years of experience

Food or beverage manufacturing experience

Interprets data and observations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines and advises management accordingly

Participate in workers compensation claims with Management, Human Resources and Carriers

Prepare technical documentation for management's use when dealing with regulatory agencies and other internal/external needs

Proficient in MS Office suite, web-based data management tools and Internet applications

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors

Manage environmental project activities including, scheduling, tracking and planning for environmental assessments, site investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial action plans

Participates with implementation of a Safety Management System

Conducts Line Observation Safety Audits (LOSA) at the Sanford base and will assist base management in upholding L3Harris standards and procedures

Report findings to the Safety Manager

Associate degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s preferred with minimum 4 years of relevant job experience

Pilot with CFI, CFII, & MEI or equivalent experience as determined by L3Harris

Previous experience in a flight training environment

Education/ Certification/ Years of Experience Requirements:

Upload, update, and manage safety recommendations in the enterprise resource management system;

Certifications in OSHA30, CHST, or CSP (preferred)

Experience with conducting unannounced/announced field audits and facility inspections (preferred)

Good communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written (preferred)

Educational and Professional assistance programs; Paid Memberships in Professional Associations

Report to management on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.

Assists with motor vehicle accident management with regards to company vehicles.

Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction safety field.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage time and work with minimal supervision.

Competitive compensation commensurate with experience

Must understand case management and be computer savvy (Microsoft word and excel).

Any of the following certifications (Is a plus): OSHA 510, OSHA 500, CHST, ASP, and/or CSP

CPR, First Aid, and AED certification

Eligible to work in the US, pass a background check with criminal history and pass a drug test

Physical stamina to stand or travel regularly
