Job Description
Primary Job Role


Travel to assigned sites and/or stores where our employees are working to fulfill our commitment to continued improvement. This could be at all hours when work is being performed. Maintain a valid RVL. Operate company vehicles safely.


Conduct MSHA Part 48 training new miner and annual refresher requirements and assure those trained have current 5000-23 forms for all divisions performing work at mine sites. Conduct task, First Aid & CPR, Customer Site-Specific, Lift Truck, Telehandler and MEWP training or Train-the-trainer training as appropriate.


Conduct audits and safety inspections at stores and work sites with leaders. Develop findings and communicate with leadership. Track completion of open action items, to ensure hazards are eliminated.


Attend Branch Safety Meetings. Serve as a consultant and resource to branches and divisions with safety issues


Be available for 24 hour emergency response to incidents/accidents that may occur. Investigate and gather information to be included in reports, as required. Assist leadership with completion of investigations and root cause analysis of incidents that occur.


Assist Equipment division with monitoring DOT compliance and training, including MSHA and OSHA requirements.


Assist with development and management of safety programs and processes. Serve as an in-house consultant on safety issues and hazard identification/elimination for assigned divisions and locations.


Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience


Formal Education High School diploma or GED


Experience 6 months or less


Required / Credentials


Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.


Not Required But Highly Desired Criteria


CPR/First Aid Instructor (within 6 months)


MSHA Instructor Eligible (has Required Experience On Mine Sites)


MEWP instructor (within 6 months)


OSHA 30 Trained


Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) or Forklift Trainer


Updating of Knowledge
