Regional Director Of Facilities Jobs in California

Proven experience in launching and leading strategic initiatives related to facility management.

Experience with personnel and performance management.

Broad knowledge of best practices in facility management and industry and regulatory standards (federal, state, and local).

International Facility Management Association (IFMA) or Building Owners and Management Institute (BOMI) Certified Facilities Manager or equivalent related certification.

Facility Professional Management Qualification and demonstrated understanding of DOE Orders, National Laboratory work controls, safety and environmental, and project management processes.

Develop and maintain the budget for Facilities Management ensuring alignment with the SLAs.

Direct experience in the facilities management at a state facility, higher education institution or other multi-facility complex

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of public contracting requirement and skills required to develop and analyze proposals and negotiate favorable business terms.

Leadership and management skills to lead project committees and manage large and complex professional teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Technology/Education, Facilities Management, Business Administration or another related field

CEFP Certification through the Association of Physical Plant Administration and/or CFM certification through the International Facility Management Association.

Demonstrated record of financial planning, budgeting and fiscal management. Analyzes budgetary data and makes accurate projections requiring some inference.

Extensive facilities management experience in a similar environment including maintenance skills and construction

At least five years of related experience in project management

Oversee and manage school-wide key lock system

Maintains current working knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, all applicable local, state, federal, and internal environmental laws and regulations

Prepares the annual facilities budget and manages the facilities budget on an ongoing basis, including accurate tracking and forecasting expenditures

Participate, as needed, in meetings of the Finance Committee of the Board of Regents

4-6 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or equivalent in demonstrated abilities.

Manage and lead the facilities team, including oversight of volunteer teams.

Intermediary computer skills and ability to learn new software and programs.

Demonstrated skills in teamwork and communications

Develop a strategy for California IIPP, OSHA, safety, security, and disaster recovery plans.

Initiates planned obsolescence maintenance programs for various equipment and mechanical components, including but not limited to, electrical, safety systems, and HVAC.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in facilities management at a management level.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong conceptual ability to manage and function as a businessperson, anticipating problems and opportunities in advance and offering creative, practical solutions.

At least two (2) years experience with multi-property and multi-unit residential treatment facilities or older, rehabilitated buildings.

Strong knowledge of building codes, Federal, State, County, and City.

Strong ability to manage several projects simultaneously and oversee effective operation of the Center.
