Rail Transportation Manager Jobs in California

5-8 years of transportation experience in CPG related fields

Experience implementing a TMS system end to end

Demonstrated experience in establishing KPIs, performance reviews and accountability measures for carriers

Dynamic problem solver - comfortable challenging assumptions and offering solutions with incomplete information

Functional strategy development and delivery experience; conversion of business insights/needs into Supply Chain strategy

Communication skills (present ideas effectively, actively listen and work across functional boundaries)

Pay: $41.76 - $58.47 per hour

Strong project management skills: ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly

Provide effective feedback to local management to drive success

Experience leading remote or onsite transportation-related training sessions

Manage site activities including performance, safety, compliance in accordance with company goals and DOT regulations

Manage a team with over 35 assets, 25 drivers

Maintain, manage, and audit vendor relationships including Billing and Performance

Five years of relevant management-level experience in transportation operations

Prepares daily reports for executive management review

Understand, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, contracts, budgets, and labor/ management agreements

Creates monthly and daily instructor schedules and manages training resources
