Rail Transportation Manager Jobs in Indiana

• Previous experience in a Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Transportation Management role, preferred

• Leads and manages bid events and the efforts to secure carrier quotes and pricing for customers.

• Manages the carrier relationships consistent with implemented

• Manage activities to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for associates.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, required

• Leads and participates in delivering continuous improvement for the Carrier Programs.

5+ years of experience as a transportation manager, preference for food CPG experience.

Demonstrate superior knowledge of and experience with the transportation industry and logistics.

Demonstrate excellent business acumen and an ability to manage cross-functionally through influence.

Experience transacting, planning and/or scheduling in an Enterprise Resource Planning system (Infor M3, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or other similar system)

Power BI experience is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or supply chain/logistics preferred. Open to experience in lieu of degree.

Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills

Partners with Terminal Managers to ensure KPIs are met; Train Performance, Lifts per Hour & Cost per Hour, etc.

Monitors and approves terminal purchases for payment & manages purchases within budget

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Prior (5+ years) intermodal, transportation, logistics or warehousing experience

Excellent communication skills are mandatory
