BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

6+ years of experience working in local community, government and/or government relations engagement, leadership positions, and experience driving high-profile strategic initiatives

Experience working in Colorado, Utah and/or Idaho markets.

Direct experience working either in government or government relations, especially local government experience.

Experience in technology, and social change for underserved communities.

Handle PR and/or community-impacting escalation of issues (e.g. construction-related disruptions).

Serves on the Emergency Management Team

Serves as main contact for Social Media. Monitors, posts, and analyzes all social media.

Contributes to and participates in delivery of communication messaging including intranet content, social media posts.

Helps with press conferences and public appearances, handling issues and keeping the media, public and employees updated on vital company information.

Interface with legal department on contract management and agreements ensuring compliance

Manage portfolio of corporate partner clients, building and executing sponsored community events and programs

Manage volunteer program for Braves front office staff, working closely with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion council

Assist in fundraising initiatives for Atlanta Braves Foundation and game-day responsibilities as assigned

Very strong communication and interpersonal skills

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including global government officials

Conduct research to support policy and overall sustainability efforts

Demonstrated experience and skills around working within Chicago neighborhoods

5+ years of experience in Chicago local government, non-profit, or community engagement

Support development of a plan to more robustly engage McDonald’s executives in the Chicago civic community

Advocate and work with third party groups to address system priorities.

Establish and maintain a sophisticated community network.

Proven track record building and managing coalitions across communities

Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.

Monitor local expenses and payment processes to help facilitate Center's Community budget and Community Affairs budget.

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

Five years' project management experience: Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in business, public health or related field or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required

One year's leadership experience: Preferred

Master's Degree in public health, healthcare administration or related discipline: Preferred

Responsible for managing project timelines and deliverables for community integration initiatives that support overall system strategy, vision, values, and goals.

Media Relations Associates work under the direction of the Director and the Program Managers of Media Relations.
