Project Management, Lean methodologies preferred

Education And / Or Experience

Facilitate business review meetings and ensures all requirements of contract are accounted for/executed within defined acceptable standards

Experience in the apparel industry strongly preferred

Highly skilled with database/spreadsheet programs, and specifically MS Office programs (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

At least 3 years’ experience in at least one of the following disciplines: materials planning, master scheduling; inventory management, demand management.

At least 3 years of management experience.

International materials management experience is desirable

Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

Ensure demand & inventory management systems are maintained & continuously improved to achieve state-of the-art business process technology.

Define, develop & maintain, with the aid of on-line systems, lead-times, backorders & backlog management.

Experience with inventory management, procurement, scheduling and interfacing with vendors.

Knowledge of financial tools and systems to perform financial analysis and manage and monitor costs and budgets.

Analyze Material Requirements Schedules (MRS) to ensure hardware production is scheduled and executed to meet customer requirements.

Optimize operational resources; integrate and manage special builds to ensure deadlines are met and negotiate capacity allocation.

Interfaces with other SNL departments/programs to negotiate material and schedule requirements on behalf of both production and development.

Research alternative material/components required to meet hardware requirements.

Receive, review, and track design drawings from the customers. This includes logging into the applicable drawing management program.

Review current data management processes and procedures for improvements.

Assist Vendor Data Manager in management of project specific submittals.

Technical skills & knowledge of processes

Required work skills and knowledge

Manage shop drawing revisions and confirm adherence to the shop change procedure.

Advance Excel skills, basic knowledge of SQL and experience working with large datasets.

Review historical trends, research drivers affecting capacity requirements such as seasonality, capacity utilization, and use this information to improve the process.

Data mining, develop the process and reports to estimate capacity requirements at the state, county and client level.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

+ 5 years of experience in Master scheduling, Supply Chain, ERP or planning software.

Prior experience with S&OP process a plus.

3+ years experience in Production Control, DC Operations Material Handling, data analytics with a focus on forecasting and planning, labor management.

Provides guidance to DC production control teams in topics such as waving, labor management and daily demand planning.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Distribution, Material Management, and/or Supply Chain from an accredited institution.

Intermediate skills and experience with Visual Basic Script and/or SQL, SAP, Manhattan Associates (WM), and AS400 i-series.

Develops and/or refines data collection and analysis tools to measure and manage processes or business metrics.

Certification in LEAN, Six Sigma or APICS.

Eliminate supply chain waste through effective management of aging inventories

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience

Prior experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Master Production Schedule (MPS) Systems preferred

Three to five years of experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred

Proficient with computers and windows-based software, specifically experience in Microsoft Word & Excel required

Experience with an ERP system such as SAP or equivalent preferred

Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity.

Works closely with the Warehouse Coordinator with respect to the management of raw materials and semi-finished goods.

Analyzes MPS forecast data and sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements at all facilities.

Insures Company's compliance with appropriate governmental regulatory requirements and promotes affirmative action compliance.

This position may have direct and indirect supervisory responsibilities.

Balances demand and supply at both the aggregate, volume level with the detailed mix level.
