Job Description
Position Summary


The Lead, Production Control, will be responsible for the oversight and accountability to the distribution partnership with 3PL partners in region. This role will collaborate closely with internal/external stakeholders to ensure on time service at the right cost. This individual will also be involved with critical supply chain projects and solutions that shape the future of UA in the region. This functions as a key leadership role in the region and a liaison between UA and it's DH partners in the region.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Possess skills and related experience in project management, implementation/integration methodologies preferably within the Third Party Logistics (3PL) industry. This position functions as a key leadership role with projects related to extensions of existing client business or internal improvement.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with 3PL DH partner and carriers.
  • Develops and communicates updates to Leadership Team with clear timing and deliverables.
  • Assist in long term capacity and network strategy initiatives.
  • Takes full responsibility within scope of the position and/or materials or projects managed to work with various cross-functional groups (such as Account Services, SAP, Procurement, Accounting, etc) to proactively and collaboratively resolve issues that may become barriers to successful execution
  • DH & Logistics SME / Analyst
  • Expectation to deliver successful projects while working within constraints of time, resource and budget.
  • Serve as project manager for small scale in complexity projects within the warehousing or final mile of the business to ensure project team’s success to meet project objectives.
  • Implements strategic initiatives for the 3YP and 5YP
  • Develops into a subject matter expert for DH and flow of goods in region --from inbound to final delivery to customer; Will diagnose issues, and drive defined process improvements to support business results

  • Will help lead the transformation journey from a singular transaction-based mindset to an exception based analytical decision-making process with 3PL partners.
  • Leverage data and systems to operate more efficiently
  • Ensures accountability with 3PL partner to metrics & KPI's set forth in terms & agreements; developing action plans to improve and identifying areas of opportunity for improvement.
  • Facilitate business review meetings and ensures all requirements of contract are accounted for/executed within defined acceptable standards

  • Highly skilled with database/spreadsheet programs, and specifically MS Office programs (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Experience in the apparel industry strongly preferred
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to meet service commitments and budget requirements.

  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills; Fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Delivers feedback and difficult messages in a direct, constructive and sincere manner
  • Communicates within and across teams to break down barriers and achieve team goals.

  • 5 years of experience in a relevant role
