Ensure product meets program requirements, including cost, performance, and reliability targets

3+ years experience with vehicle level electrical systems design development process

Be responsible for technical direction and decisions for assigned product development projects

Work with a multi-disciplinary engineering development team that includes power conversion design, mechanical design, control hardware design, and Integration / Test

Develop FMEA and risk mitigation plans

Experience reading and interpreting assembly/test instructions, engineering standards/prints, and schematics;

Basic Power Electronics knowledge a plus;

Previous experience with Power Electronics equipment installation, commissioning and maintenance;

Required Education: Associates Degree in Electrical Technology

Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office

Experience with the full product development process including EMI/EMC testing, certification processes, failure analysis, etc.

Minimum of 7 years of industry or university research experience in power electronics design, analysis, testing, and troubleshooting

Experience with magnetic field simulation using packages such as Maxwell Ansys

Develop and present technical presentations and discuss design solutions that meet the customer’s requirements

Prepare (with FAE’s inputs) technical solutions explaining PI’s product features and benefits

Manage customer forecast, prepare sales reports and territory updates

Experience in power electronics with emphasis on power conversion topologies (Buck, Boost, Fly-back, Forward ,LLC,PFC converters)

Experience in applications and/or design of end equipment using control ICs & power semiconductors

Knowledgeable in usage of various electronic test and EMC equipment

Deep understanding and exploration of technical requirements from Physics department and design into those requirements.

Preparation and presentation of technical requirements, specifications, as well as design reports. Design for high-voltage and high-current application including safety isolation.

5+ years of Power Converters design experience.

5+ years of power converter systems simulation and analysis experience.

Experience and understanding of modular multi-level high power conversion systems.

Experience and understanding of control and modulation methods for modular multi-level power conversion systems.

Quality Management - look for ways to improve and promote quality; demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.

Hands on design validation and Verification experience including impedance and loop phase/gain measurements, precision noise measurement, and load transient response.

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, Master's degree preferred in Electrical Engineering with 1+ years of related experience.

Knowledge of power conversion principles, topologies, and soft switching techniques.

Solve electronics packaging issues including: electrical isolation, sealing, thermal management, interconnection, shock and vibration management, electromagnetic interference (EMI), RF communications, etc.

Experience with environmental, reliability, safety, and industry standard requirements for automotive, industrial & residential products.

Knowledge of GD&T, finite element analysis, and design for reliability concepts.

Experience using CATIA V5 and/or V6.

Experience with PLM systems, engineering changes, deviations, BOM structuring, etc.

Working knowledge of Matlab, Python and ANYSYS.

Self-starter with strong ownership, excellent time management skills and curious spirit

Experience with requirement synthesis and specification decomposition

BS + 10 years of relevant industry experience

Experience in analog and/or power electronics design

Good knowledge of inter-module communications protocols (I2C, SMBus, SPMI, etc.)

Knowledge of scripting (Python, Shell, Unix, MATLAB, etc.) for test automation and data analysis desired

Work with product management to distil product requirements into engineering

Prior experience working industrialization process, supporting factory to source and qualify

? Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years’ experience.

Extensive hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum

Prior experience with AC/DC power conversion e.g., motor controllers, UPS, Solar & battery

? Experience in development of digital and analog interfaces for PC-based test systems, especially (Labview, Matlab, Python).

Required minimum education and experience:

Be knowledgeable with power electronic circuits, gate drivers and control, wide bandgap power devices, and high frequency passive components.

Prior experience in high frequency power electronics, integration, prototyping, and testing.

Knowledge of basic principles of power electronic design and integration.

Previous experience in prototyping of power electronic circuits, testing and diagnosis/resolution of issues.

Plans and executes research activities in power electronics development, integration, prototyping and testing of high-performance dc-dc converters.
