Power Electronics Technician Jobs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates with subcontractors
• Reassemble and test equipment after equipment repairs are completed.
• Complete assignments individually and efficiently in a multi-system environment.
• Responsible for the assembly, installation, and testing of electrical related components
• Follow service guides, schematics and manufacturer specifications.
• Repair or replace defective components
• Create test plans, co-ordinate with commissioning team and test systems.

Required Education & Experience:

• Must be able to correctly identify electrical and electronics components;
• Basic Power Electronics knowledge a plus;
• Ability to use basic hand tools, drills & air tools;
• Experience reading and interpreting assembly/test instructions, engineering standards/prints, and schematics;
• Knowledge of various electrical components;
• Required Education: Associates Degree in Electrical Technology
• Electronics and Electrical test equipment: multi-meters, voltage and current probes, oscilloscopes, functional generators, power analyzers, LCR meters, electronics AC/DC loads.
• Previous experience with Power Electronics equipment installation, commissioning and maintenance;

Software Knowledge and Skills:

• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be self-motivated and able to stay on task with good attention to detail;
• Have good verbal and written communication skills;
• Preferred Education: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Technology
• Must maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Spanish language a plus
• Attention to detail and a strong ability to focus on key attributes are important.
