Port And Cargo Operations Supervisor Jobs

At least 4 years of supervisory experience, with excellent leadership and people management skills.

Knowledge and demonstrated expertise with the management and support of Microsoft Active Directory Domains.

Five years of successful people management experience.

Assist senior management in planning contingency plans for the terminal.

Actively participate in negotiations and IT contract management.

Provide reports to IT management on facility preparedness and viability to support IT services.

Strong organization, planning, and time management skills.

Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in administrative or multi-level support role.

Excellent PC skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must.

Ability to manage financial processes, strong analytical ability.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.

Experience analyzing large datasets to arrive at actionable knowledge to assist clients’ key decisions;

Demonstrated ability to apply creative problem-solving skills to complex, data intensive scenarios;

Possesses strong analytical skills set with an ability to distill complex concepts into actionable counsel;

Interest and ability to interact with clients and eventually manage client relationships;

Demonstrate intellectual curiosity by both imparting and seeking knowledge within the team and our professional spheres of influence.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or another technical/analytical field; Master’s degree preferred;

Experience in intermodal environment preferred

Walking, stooping, bending, twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties

Planning and Coordination of the Fruit and Cargo Inspections with CBP, CBP AG, and Port Operator

Identification of Cargo and Equipment Damages in order to recover any cost from the responsible party, i.e. Stevedores, Carriers, Customers, etc

Perform weekly fruit and equipment inventory in Wilmington and Outside Facilities to provide proper fruit inventory control and equipment fleet rotation

Perform download of temperature information from containers as required

SLA Management: manage team performance to meet client SLA's and KPI's, including metric reporting on team performance

Workflow/queue management: allocation and distribution of tasks across languages and processes

Assist the General Manager in the everyday operations.

The role is a part of the Cargo Operations Center and Surface Logistics team within our Airports & Cargo Experience group.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

3+ years of cargo operations experience

Has a strong knowledge of American Airlines Cargo products and understanding of the cargo industry.

Has Cargo Terminal Operations and Dangerous Goods experience.

Has strong multi-tasking, prioritization and organization skills.
