A boutique port & logistics consulting firm is growing and seeks analytical expertise to add value to global client engagements.


As a key contributor to engagements in freight transportation operational analyses, with a highly quantitative focus on metrics, finance and forecasting.


As Part Of a Team With Recognized Global Expertise, You Will Apply Your Experience In Three Or More Of The Following Areas To Add Value To Client Engagements

  • Transportation Cost Analysis, including use of GIS systems

  • Operational Analysis & Modeling

  • Port Operations and Capacity Analysis
  • Financial Modeling
  • Revenue Forecasting
  • Asset Optimization
  • Supply Chain Analysis & Design
  • Demand Forecasting


Responsibilities will include analyzing data, performing economic and financial analyses, developing and applying financial models, conducting market research, writing and presenting findings to clients, as well as contributing to new client development.


Interests And Abilities


  • Possesses the ability to understand complex analytical or industry specific topics and explain them to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Demonstrated ability to apply creative problem-solving skills to complex, data intensive scenarios;
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity by both imparting and seeking knowledge within the team and our professional spheres of influence.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills set with an ability to distill complex concepts into actionable counsel;
  • Interest and ability to interact with clients and eventually manage client relationships;


Minimum Requirements


  • 5+ years overall experience;
  • 1+ years operations experience or consulting experience within a significant client sector such as Ports, Ocean Carriers, Transportation Operating Companies, Infrastructure Investors or other owners in shipping & logistics);
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or another technical/analytical field; Master’s degree preferred;


Ideal Qualifications Include


  • Experience with Infrastructure Funds, Terminal Operators or Port Authorities is a plus.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets to arrive at actionable knowledge to assist clients’ key decisions;
  • Financial modeling experience desired;
  • Master’s degree preferred;
  • Experience in the Transportation and Logistics industry;


The preferred location for this position is the U.S. West Coast, although other locations can be considered with additional travel requirements.
