Collaborate as the Grants Management System Application Lead

Manage, lead, and implement continuous improvement initiatives ensuring solutions align with strategic goals.

Monitor grant budgets from various fund types and work with Finance staff to ensure proper fund and grantmaking budget administration.

Understand and support proper fund administration as it relates to grantmaking compliance including working knowledge of restricted gifts and trusts.

Assist with preparation and administration of departmental budgets providing effective fiscal management that aligns with the organizational goals.

Responsible for all contract management activities as documented in KCAB Policy 1014, regarding Contract Management.

Delegates management of maintenance contracts as appropriate.

Ensures cooperation, coordination, and effective communication flow among contract management and KCAB maintenance departments. Communicates necessary contracted activities to appropriate parties.

Participates in capital improvement programming and ensures departmental representation on project planning and management teams.

Demonstrated skill in comprehending and implementing requirements of complex, technical information.

5 years of managerial experience and 5 years of claims management and oversight experience

Ensures the delivery of cost-effective, community-based, and culturally sensitive health care through comprehensive contracting, medical management, and documenting/reporting

Oversees the coordinated approach to administering health care benefits for children under the guidelines of a primary and secondary Pediatric HMO

Guarantees department adheres to all contractual obligations and statutory regulations

Mentors and develops staff towards expanding job roles to meet the continuous challenges and changes in the health care environment

Supervises contracts and governmental regulations, including promoting the ability to respond effectively to innovative initiatives

Demonstrated organizational, management, planning and budgeting skills in dealing with people, problems, issues and information.

Develop strategies for revenue generation, cost containment, productivity improvement, assets management and new services/programs.

Make personnel management decisions relative to direct reports within established policies and guidelines. Develop direct reports to facilitate efficient day-to-day operations.

Participates in risk management activities.

Reviews and analyzes budget and other management documents/reports as requested/assigned.

Demonstrated analytical skills necessary in order to solve technical, clinical, administrative, or managerial problems relative to complex plans, systems, and programs.

Planning, scheduling, organizing, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of assigned civilians and volunteer staff.

Ensuring coverage of non-sworn staff for all shifts and assignments relating to police support functions.

Providing for the training of staff in work procedures and for professional development and training programs relating to police support functions.

Overseeing non-sworn personnel selection procedures, including conducting interviews and background investigations.

Assisting with furthering the development of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards for the Department relating to police support functions.

Developing cooperative working relationships and mutual aid agreements with representatives of other local public safety agencies.
