Payroll And Accounting Specialist Jobs

Maintain updated knowledge of payroll systems and payroll related regulations to proactively support updates of the system and processes;

Upload and reconcile benefit data such as 401k and Flexible spending accounts;

Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for all payroll and benefit related accounts;

Update job knowledge by participating in learning opportunities and staff meetings;

COMMUNICATION SKILLS – Exceptional oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to research, analyze and report information.

Abacus Expense or other expense management systems experience is a plus

Minimum of five years of relevant work experience, required

Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls

Intermediate to advanced data entry and 10 key calculator skills.

Processes benefits forms including adding and deleting staff from medical, dental, vision, disability, and retirement.

Minimum of 2 years recent payroll experience.

Proficient in Excel, with knowledge of databases helpful.

Strong administrative and organizational skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business and/or related payroll or tax certification preferred

5+ years of payroll tax and fringe benefits experience required

Sound knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices, taxes, and reporting requirements

Mantain and ensure accurate reporting of paid-time-off balances on pay stubs as well as fringe benefits

Coordinate with and assist department managers with timesheets for hourly interns and contractors where needed

Research payroll regulations and best practices, taxes, and reporting requirements in new international jurisdictions where needed

Excellent time management skills with the ability to work with time constraints in a fast-paced environment

Coordinate with the finance and HR departments to process biweekly payroll

Working knowledge of payroll and state unemployment taxes, including gaining nexus

Experience with UKG software (formerly Ultimate Payroll Co)

Working knowledge of NetSuite software a plus
