Collaborate with doctor(s) and team members to provide seamless patient experience

Collaborative team player that will provide the best patient experience

Consult with patients, accurately document existing conditions and complaints, and chart medical history to prep for Optometrist exam

Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and additional office staff throughout appointment

Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures to which they will be exposed during appointment

Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing

Previous retail/optical experience preferred, but not required.

Ability to learn optical knowledge.

Comfortable and experienced with technology - PC's, Web-based applications and MS Office.

Ensures high quality patient care.

Maintains a professional atmosphere and appearance of doctor’s office and pretest room.

Understands ocular terminology and diseases and knows the ocular abbreviations.

Strong multi-tasking and time management skills

Educate patients on their insurance coverage and vision benefits

Obtain insurance authorizations and verification of benefits

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Team player with good interpersonal and listening skills

Interacts with hotel and corporate management as necessary.

Provides updated room availability and rate information to guest service agents and other managers as directed.

Ensures Manager Daily Checklists are completed consistently before the end of each shift.

Drive guest service scores for the benefit of the property, company, and team members.

At least 2-3 years of progressive experience in hospitality or a related field; at least 2 years Front Office experience

Comprehensive knowledge of top accounts for the hotel, NYC markets and trends.

Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar field an advantage but not required

Effective team player, with very good interpersonal relationship skills and can work and relate well with co-employees, patients and customers.

Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Prepare the examination area a half hour before the doctor’s arrival.

Find out the reason for the patient’s consultation.

Assist residents and prepare them to be seen by the doctor.

Hospitality certification or vocational education a strong plus

Assist Front Office Manager in all administrative tasks as assigned

Prior hospitality experience, especially in front desk and administrative roles

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Answer phones, greet customers, assist with check-in and check-out procedures, and make reservations

Confirm staff schedules, assist with payroll procedures, and accurately perform data-entry tasks

Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar field an advantage but not required

Associate’s Degree in Hospitality Management; 1-2 years of related experience in a Hotel Front Office environment. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Minimum One (1) year of full-time experience working in an Ophthalmology practice.

Additional years of experience working with Ortho-K, Prose, Soft lenses, Rigid lenses, Toric lenses, etc.

Supports the department and the physician by being the first line of contact that the patient has in the exam room

Performs and records ancillary testing including auto-refraction, tonometry, and lensometry.

• Handling bank-related transactions, Data Entry, managing and tracking applicant data.

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
