Optical Laboratory Technician I Jobs in Pennsylvania

Reports observations of ongoing tests to Technical Reviewer or Laboratory Manager.

High School diploma and over 2 years of relevant experience or

Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills

Conducts cell culture assays and lab procedures according to and in compliance with GLP, cGMP, CFR and/or PTC guidelines and SOPs.

Perform cell culture of in-house cell lines and test articles from outside clients.

Maintains laboratory notebook (when required) and follows all general and laboratory SOPs.

Demonstrates advanced laboratory and critical-thinking skills.

Collaborates with team members and has excellent interpersonal skills.

Under direct supervision, may perform a variety of routine laboratory operations.

Full training on operating small reactors or kilo lab equipment.

The individual should be comfortable around chemical compounds and able/willing to handle these according to standard operating procedures.

Able to set up and turn off laboratory equipment safely.

Demonstrates initiative in continually improving personal knowledge, skills, and work experience; and in improving departmental functioning.

Performs waived, moderate and/or high-complexity tests and procedures in clinical laboratory sections under the direction of the Supervisor.

May be required to perform phlebotomy for diagnostic testing on patients of all age groups.
