Job Title: Laboratory Technician I

Description

• Good record keeping for processes may be needed.
• This is an entry-level position but some experience and knowledge in the handling of chemicals or performing chemical reactions in laboratory settings are a plus.
• Able to set up and turn off laboratory equipment safely.
• Full training on operating small reactors or kilo lab equipment.
• Under direct supervision, may perform a variety of routine laboratory operations.
• The individual should be comfortable around chemical compounds and able/willing to handle these according to standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow established work procedures.
• Conducts work in a manner that protects themselves, co-workers, and the environment.
• Ensures that safety procedures, required PPE and housekeeping are maintained.
• Required to learn all operating systems and able to shut them down without supervision in the case of any emergency.

Requirements

• Collaborates with team members and has excellent interpersonal skills.
• Flexible to work shifts at night due to operations running 24/7/365.
• High School graduate/equivalent or associate degree, with a demonstrated technical and/or mechanical aptitude.
• Demonstrates advanced laboratory and critical-thinking skills.
• Communicates between shifts as needed.

Additional Details Loc: 440 College Park Drive, Monroeville, PA, Dur: 6 Months,Possibility for extension or conversion for the right fit and if headcount allows.
