Optical Laboratory Technician I Jobs in Kansas

3 - 5 years of opto-mechanical and optical assembly experience

Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, and good written/verbal communication skills

U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for employment

Prior experience as a phlebotomist or data entry or specimen processor in a clinical laboratory or physician office preferred.

Manage client test results according to established procedures.

Manage all outpatient orders, and support all order questions from clients, and imaging and access draw stations.

Manage new providers that need to be added to Cerner, and Care Evolve.

Manage, and merge duplicate MRN's in Cerner from Care Evolve clients.

Manage the send out lists, unlisted orders, and check orders to make sure interface is transmitting correct information.

Understand the QTN Lab Information System

Sort specimens by source (hair, oral fluid, urine, etc) and work list

Understands and adheres to strict forensic practices

Processes urine specimens for regulated and non-regulated testing independently

Adheres to company policies and procedures

Scans/images of all custody and control forms

Competitive compensation packages with an hourly range between $17.00 and $19.00 based on experience

Prior Laboratory experience preferred but not required as this is an entry level position

Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety

2 years of relevant lab experience allows direct advancement to Tech II (academic lab counts)

Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
