Education and Work Experience Requirements

Two (2) years maintenance experience required or equivalent combination of education and work experience

HVAC and/or EPA certification preferred.

Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred

Performs repairs, troubleshoots systems, and completes preventative maintenance. Adheres to standardized diagnostic approaches for preventative maintenance, system troubleshooting,

Required to be available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled.

Familiar with computers and the ability to use a computerized maintenance management system

Experience in other trades- such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance

Experience in creating and completing work orders

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

The ability to lead a team of maintenance workers

Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors

Diagnose equipment problems, report abnormal conditions to management, and prepare detailed work requests for plant defects

Participate in ongoing training to maintain and enhance skills required to perform duties and assist in the training of others

Good verbal and written communications skills are essential

ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, WELDING experience preferred

Bilingual (Spanish) speaking abilities are a plus

Wage Range: $25 -$35/hr, DOE

Knowledgeable on schematics, mechanical drawings, wire diagrams, block diagrams and technical publications to build prototype electronic assemblies.

Able to work in a field environment, which will include shift work, overtime, and travel to remote locations.

Proficient in analog and digital electronic fundamentals.

Hands-on electrical, instrumentation, and avionics maintenance on aircraft is highly desired.

Frequent exposure to weather and temperature extremes, drafts, noise.

Must have or be able to obtain a DOD security clearance.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities

Specific License or Certification Required:

Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization

Experience maintaining and updating preventive maintenance management programs for plant equipment, such as pumps, valves, gearboxes, turbines, etc.

Technician level experience in a power plant or related industry is required

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successful predictive and preventative maintenance practices in their previous work experience.

Motivate, direct and supervise personnel to effectively and efficiently accomplish their assigned duties through performance appraisals, reward, discipline, and management skills

Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) experience is highly desirable

Lead the planning of maintenance outages using effective time management principles

Experience supervising hourly personnel; strong leadership and motivational skills

Provide the Plant Manager with information concerning the availability and reliability of facility equipment

Assist Plant Manager in development and monitoring of plant budget, operating plan, and development of technicians

Minimum of two years of experience in power plant operations desirable. Extensive working knowledge of power plant industry is also desirable.

Experience in water chemistry control, analysis of water conditions, water treatment facility operations and chemical handling requirements is highly desirable

Complete other tasks as required by the Shift Supervisor or the Operations Manager

Experience with piping and instrument schematics and process controls

Extensive working knowledge of power plant industry is also desirable.

2 year(s): Minimum of two years of experience in power plant operations desirable

Knowledge of emergency response procedures and DOT motor carrier regulations

Must have safe driving skills

Assist in the construction, maintenance, operations, and repairs of pipelines and associated facilities and equipment

Move/Remove product or water using a variety of methods

Perform batch changing, meter proving, and calibrations

Perform various mathematical calculations associated with over/short reconciliation

Experience with steam turbine and/or combustion turbine power generation preferred.

Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in the Operations and Maintenance of a combustion turbine generating station, including balance of plant equipment.

Good computer skills including Microsoft Office and other computer-based productivity tools.

Physical requirements include lifting 50lbs, standing for long periods, walking, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling etc.

Conduct all work activities in a professional, environmentally conscious, and safe manner.
