Assist in the interpretation of Engineering drawings/requirements and support Level 2 or Level 3’s in determination of inspection requirements.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Assist in generating technical presentations utilizing sound computer skills.

Under direct observation of Level 2 or 3 personnel, observe proper NDT inspection methodology to Gulfstream internal practices and procedures.

Assist in recording inspection records in inspection logs, Solumina, SAP, or other inspection systems.

Team support of NDT inspections performed within Gulfstream.

1-2 years of experience preferred but not necessary as on the job training will be provided

Must be able to maintain certification levels according to NAS 410

Must adhere and follow work instructions according to the SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) as outlined for this position

Maintain chemical levels in etch tanks as per written procedures

Responsible for following the guidance of a Level II or Level III Certified UT/MPI Operator

Ability to operate UT/MPI machinery and process parts accordingly under the direct supervision of a Level II Certified UT/MPI Operator

Shall obtained experience under the direct observation of a Level 2 or Level 3 in the same method.

Shall obtained experience under the direct observation of a level 1 or instructor only when approved by the Responsible Level 3.

Shall not make accept or reject decisions.

Shall not independently conduct tests.

Shall not independently perform any other NDT functions

Preferred: One (1) year of pediatric health care experience.

Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Program.

Preferred: Bilingual in English/ Spanish.

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS); Registered EEG Technologist.

Work Environments - Functional Demand:

Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.

Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.

Requires two (2) years of experience as a NAS410 qualified and certified Level 2 or 3 in Radiographic Testing (RT).

Requires current ASNT (or state) Industrial Radiographer Radiation Safety Program (IRRSP) certification.

Prefer ASNT certification as Level 2 or 3 in RT.

Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method.

In-depth knowledge and field experience with the NDT discipline in customer site applications

Basic skills training to ensure knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of a particular field of specialization

NDT Level II Certification (Radiography). UT, MT, PT Certifications are a plus.

Certification as a Level II in MT, PT and UT and ability to meet company certification standards

Experience with automated and computerized NDT Equipment. Demonstrated work history supporting customers and producing final reports

Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadline.

Shall obtained experience under the direct observation of a Level 2 or Level 3 in the same method.

Shall obtained experience under the direct observation of a level 1 or instructor only when approved by the Responsible Level 3.

On-the-job training, no experience required

Education: High school or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Must have previous experience in the interpretation of pipeline radiography as a Certified Level II Interpreter.

Experience with Microsoft Suite of products Word, Excel, PPT and PDF and SharePoint sites such as OneDrive or similar.

Assures that radiographic procedures, film interpretation, film quality and film identification are in accordance with approved specifications.

Maintains continual communications with the Senior NDT Auditor and Senior Welding Inspector regarding welding and film quality.

Assures station numbers and all film artifacts are documented and confirmed on the NDE report turned in by the NDE Contractor.

Identifies all defects that are not acceptable per API 1104

Analytical abilities, and great communication skills (for both co-workers and clients)

Advanced computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint for data analysis, word processing and spreadsheet manipulation

Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment

Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection

Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations

Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results

Studies to gain NDT certifications while assisting and learning hands on experience in various NDT methods.

Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively

High school diploma or equivalent required

Two years Inspection experience of large transport aircraft

Experience supervising maintenance or inspection personnel

Knowledge of L-3 Non-Destructive Testing methods and principles

Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

Provide work direction to comply with a operational plan to aircraft inspectors.

Participates as a partner with overall Maintenance Team to ensure quality systems are in place and effective.

Working knowledge of production management computer system and other related internal control systems.

Cross trains in other complementary skills and seeks endorsements for those skills as needed to support production requirements.

Moves between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.

Minimum of five (5) years NDT inspection experience.

Level 3 certifications in any if the following NDT methods: Radiography, Ultrasonics, Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant

Have knowledge and understanding of welding and inspection of weldments

Bachelor's Degree (Technical, Industrial, or Engineering) or relevant experience

Must meet IRATA/SPRAT certification requirements

2 Years equivalent experience in related field OR, Proof of training in an area related to the job assignment

Reasonable knowledge in hand-held measuring devices, grinding, operation of thickness gauges and depth gauges.

Moderate to Advanced PC Skills in Microsoft Applications, ie, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
