Mep Construction Superintendent Jobs

The ideal candidate will be versed in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing trades.

Monitor construction schedule and quality control.

Carry out inspection of works in progress.

Ensure contractor compliance with contract specifications and approved shop drawings.

Projects in excess of $200,000,000

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Provide regular updates to project management and participate in project meetings as required.

Familiarity with construction management software and tools.

Manage and oversee MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems for commercial and industrial construction projects.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum of 8 years of experience as an MEP Superintendent in commercial or industrial construction projects.

Associate degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Engineering / Mechanical Technology, Construction Management, a related field or equivalent experience.

Coordinates all permitting, and inspections required by local authorities in the absence of Management.

Ensure all Preventive Maintenance procedures are documented, scheduled and performed according to OEM or AEM recommendations and meet local code requirements.

3 to 5 years of experience as a journeyman level MEP Technician preferably in an industrial or complex central plant environment.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to identify issues and help develop strategy and tactical plans for various department initiatives

Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills

Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Relevant certifications or licenses in MEP systems and/or construction management will be an advantage.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.

Proficiency in using MS Office software and project management tools.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure MEP systems meet design, quality, and safety requirements.

Monitor and manage MEP project budgets, including tracking costs, approving invoices, and controlling expenses.

5+ yrs commercial construction experience with large sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems.

Position requires extensive experience managing the construction of data centers and complex electrical and mechanical infrastructure projects.

Responsible for the specific mechanical and electrical construction needs of Mission Critical facilities (e.g., data centers) and other related construction projects.

This position will supervise all Mechanical and Electrical Trade contractors, and vendors involved in the project.

Coordinate all Mechanical and Electrical schedules, budgets, reports and documentation from pre-construction thru close-out.

Assist MEP Manager to provide conflict resolution for MEP issues

2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor

Strong communication skills; verbal and written

Strong leadership skills; able to build and lead a team

Maintain adherence to HITT’s standards of safety

Assist bidding mechanical and electrical trades

•Previous experience of construction management on site

•Work on multiple projects as assigned by upper management

•Manage the construction project as owner’s representative in the US with challenging agenda

•Experience with construction of industrial buildings, preferably in greenfield manufacturing environments

•Previous experience of procurement processes and contract negotiations

•Good communication skills – writing skills and presentation skills

Associate degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Engineering / Mechanical Technology, Construction Management, a related field or equivalent experience.

Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform job responsibilities

In emergency situations, dispatch technicians and or vendors, as needed, in the absence of Management.

Monitors ticket flows and receives escalations when Management is not available.

Coordinates all permitting, and inspections required by local authorities in the absence of Management.

Basic experience with detailed record keeping and data entry accuracy

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Materials or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or extensive equivalent experience

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in MEP design, facility management or construction management

Interface with facilities staff and project managers

Maintain knowledge of current and developing technologies. Reviews industry performance, analyzes industry trends, and maintains industry contacts

Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks

Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
