Properly secure and strap heavy loads for travel, and demonstrate proficiency in Forklift Certification Training

Calls Live Haul office daily to obtain scheduled instructions for loading time and destinations for live poultry pick-up and delivery.

Obtains a completed load record from Catching Foreman before departure from farm.

Operates vehicle in a safe and efficient manner at all times.

Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

Must be able to lift 100 lbs.

Must be able to work in harsh weather conditions and in dusty areas.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal customers

Work under close supervision in a team setting in a fast-paced production environment.

Inspects trucks and trailers for defects before and after trips and submits reports daily indicating truck/trailer conditions.

Maintains drivers log according to DOT regulations when required

Is responsible for safe and timely performance of his/her duties

Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields

Safely operate a box truck

Properly track and document activity log

Report any issues or incidents to admin

Inspect truck before and after trip

Ability to handle physical workload

Prefer minimum of one year verified experience operating a tractor trailer. Must be 21 years of age.

Safe driving skills, ability to drive large tractor trailers and ability to use related delivery equipment.

Strong Interpersonal, communication, organizational and customer service skills.

Sets trailers in dock doors for loading product

Starts refrigeration units; checks units periodically

Pulls loaded trailers away from dock and secures trailer doors

Coordinating with Warehouse Management on equipment prioritization and utilization

Must have one year driving experience with a clean driving record for past 39 months

Unloading and picking up specific product at predetermined docks, yards and or warehouses

Fueling tractor and trailer(s) upon return to base and unhooking trailer(s) at specified location

Experience in automated retail distribution center preferred.

Transports trailers, full or empty, to or from, receiving or shipping, as directed by the trailer locator.

Applies seals to loaded trailers.

Completes trailer movement log to submit to trailer locator/verifier.

Complete final certification for all outbound loads

Schedule: 4am to 12pm Monday through Friday

Subject to work weekends if needed to support business needs.

Complete VCR for jockey truck and forklift (if applicable)

Move trailers from lot to dock doors and back to lot as directed

Work with foreman and supervisor to move raw material loads to doors as needed

Complete final certification for all outbound loads

$23.15 per hour * FULL TIME * NIGHTS

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 12:00PM to 8:00PM

Monday Tuesday Wednesday 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM

Complete VCR for jockey truck and forklift (if applicable)

Move trailers from lot to dock doors and back to lot as directed

Has a working knowledge of HAZCOM , SPCC, Community Right-To-Know, OSHA Regulations and 40 CFR Environmental Regulations.

Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills and safety awareness to work with and around heavy equipment.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.66 with off-shift, overtime and weekend work available

Responsible for the day to day Truck Driving Activities at the RMS Pueblo, Co #67 plant.

Follows the following work activity guideline for a Truck Driver

Performs routine mobile equipment pre start and post inspections and records on mobile equipment inspection sheet.

Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications

Minimum of six months commercial driving experience preferred

Load, unload, or merge loads between environments

Turn on refer units and ensure the units are functioning properly.

Ensure the cooler and freezer areas of the trailer are at appropriate temperatures prior to products being loaded.

Hook tractors with assigned trailers.

Deliver truck to fuel island for re-fueling purposes.

Meet the physical qualification requirement established for the USDOT (part 391, subpart E)

Have experience with operating Class A tractor-trailers in all weather conditions.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Safe delivery and pick-up of various products and equipment offered by the company (hauling large construction equipment).

Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery & heavy duty towing experience a plus

Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the company vehicle

Receiving and properly documenting receipt of products

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Ability to complete trailer moves in the Yard Management System (YMS)
