US 1 Shorthaul holds the yard contract for a distribution center in Phoenix, Arizona. We are seeking a Full-Time, Night Shift, Yard Jockey at our Phoenix, Arizona location:

About US 1 Shorthaul's Yard Jockey Position:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately perform yard audits at end of shift
• Proper pre- and post-trip inspections and submitting reports indicating truck conditions
• Adhere to guidelines of safety-sensitive functions pertaining to job responsibilities within yard
• Correctly move trailers in and out of dock with yard goats
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Attention to detail with particular focus on safety
• Ability to complete trailer moves in the Yard Management System (YMS)
• Ability to read, understand, and demonstrate safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Possess a team-player attitude

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Class A CDL (preferred)
  • If applicable, Class A CDL requirements:
    • Clearinghouse query consent with non-prohibited status
    • PSP score below 90
• 18 months of CMV/OTR experience in the past 3 years (required for CDL Class A drivers)
• This position must be able to pass 10-year nationwide background check with no felony convictions or drug related charges (required)
• Experience backing 48' to 53' trailers (required)
• Clearinghouse query consent with non-prohibited status
• MVR minimum requirements met in accordance with violation point system in last 3 years (required)
• PSP score below 90
• If applicable, Class A CDL requirements:
  • Clearinghouse query consent with non-prohibited status
  • PSP score below 90
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and any DOT applicants will be processed through Clearinghouse (required)
• 12 months of yard jockey experience in the last 3 years (required for non-CDL)

POSITION TYPE, PAY, AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

• This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position, paid weekly
• Pay rate starts at $23.00 / hour
• OT (time and a half) paid on any hours over 40 per work week
