Lead Warehouse Clerk Jobs

Assists clerks by providing direction and leadership, demonstrating and performing clerk responsibilities and assigned tasks, and answering employee questions.

Providing leadership, exhibiting interpersonal skills by maintaining composure and professionally addressing difficult and sometimes angry individuals including customers, vendors and co-workers.

Demonstrating initiative and self-direction to perform a variety of simultaneous skills (multi-tasking).

Perform all duties described in the appropriate department specific job description (grocery clerk, cashier and/or freight stocker).

Understand overall company practices through previous experience in designated department (grocery or freight) or equivalent.

Understand state & federal regulations if certification is needed.

 Previouse experience in Quality and manufacturing

 1 years of lead/supervisory experience

 Computer skills. Excel, word, etc.

 Travel required (5 surrounding locations) looking for a candidate that is flexible

 Train inspectors on inspection jobs

 Scheduling employees, work flow, process improvements, safety

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Provides emergency back-up for all materials management inventory and distribution positions.

. Assist the Director, Materials Management with special projects.

Assumes responsibility for inventories located at the warehouse/ storeroom, including preparation for and all responsibilities associated with year end inventory. *

Valid Maryland driver's license. Demonstrated verbal and written communication, interpersonal, supervisory, and computer skills.

Supervises activities of the warehouse and supply distribution process, while actually performing all day to day activities as required. *

Maintain current processes put in place by management as well as assisting in new processes.

Execution of projects delegated around the facility, customers, and management.

2+Years of proven leadership/supervisory experience.

Knowledge of software applications in a distribution setting (WMS)

Ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining oraganizational control.

Ensure operational KPI's are met day to day.

Overseeing inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment

Taking responsibility for training and supervising subordinates; and making sure staffing is adequate to manage the workload.

Checking pick tickets for possible errors and clarifying them with sales staff

Overseeing daily operations outlined by the Supervisor

Managing team members by prioritizing tasks and making sure the tasks are completed in a timely manner

Assisting in loading outbound shipments

Acceptable Training and Experience includes

Annual base salary range: $90,000 - $101,000
