Job Description

A Warehouse Lead is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to the warehouse team. The job description may include the following responsibilities

  • Reviewing incoming deliveries of material
  • Processing and requisitioning supplies
  • Scheduling and coordinating inbound/outbound shipments, working with the shipping/receiving department to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Taking responsibility for training and supervising subordinates; and making sure staffing is adequate to manage the workload.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by regularly sweeping, mopping, and conducting general warehouse upkeep
  • Overseeing daily operations outlined by the Supervisor
  • Overseeing inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment
  • Assisting in loading outbound shipments
  • Checking pick tickets for possible errors and clarifying them with sales staff
  • Managing team members by prioritizing tasks and making sure the tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Delivering and packaging merchandise for shipping
  • Assisting with security measures
