Lead Culinary Assistant Jobs

Provides a welcoming atmosphere in the dining areas for residents.

Adheres to food safety and dietary guidelines based on residents’ needs.

Operates, cleans and sanitizes kitchen and cafeteria equipment, and performs general cleaning and dishwashing.

Actively participates in all culinary trainings.

Enjoys working with senior populations

Production of salads, soups, sauces, meats etc... in compliance with applicable recipes and guidelines set forth by management.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Previous experience in food service industry required.

High School diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.

Organized and able to handle a variety of duties.

Able to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to follow instruction.

Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to long-term care dietary requirements.

Previous experience in a nursing care facility or other previous service experience preferred.

Provide assistance to students related to culinary skills, equipment and technology.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the proven ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and faculty.

Proven ability to work effectively with students of varying ages, cultures, and knowledge base.

Knowledge of information research strategies.

Salary may vary depending on qualifications, experience, and education of the selected candidate.

Participate with the Catering Director in the recruitment, selection, development, and discipline of food services management, supervisory and support staff.

Degree in Culinary Arts from an accredited culinary school or equivalent experience.

At least seven (7) years or progressively responsible experience as a chef in a high volume, high-quality food service operation.
