Qc Lab Trainer Jobs

Proficiency with document management systems and software.

Familiarity with electronic document management systems (EDMS) is a plus.

Previous experience working in a microbiology lab within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or similar regulated industry.

Knowledge of chemistry and analytical chemistry fundamentals as related to quality control;

Strong functional and technical skills, strong analytical instrumentation background in quality control and in a production environment;

Must pass the Quality Control Lab Technician Minimum Qualifications Test..

Must have or be willing to develop a good working knowledge of personal computers.

Perform, analyze, and document standard quality control tests and procedures on raw materials.

Perform, analyze, and document standard quality control tests and procedures on production batches and finished products.

Inspect and recommend approval or rejection of incoming raw materials.

Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word

Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing of beverages, syrups, and raw materials throughout the entire production process.

Analyze syrup beverage and/or water attributes

Audit container rinsers, air blowers, filters, and coders to ensure proper operations.

Conduct package quality inspection and quality audits and isolate product that does not meet standards.

Maintain highest possible housekeeping standards to prevent microbial contamination

Read test results and notify Lab Manager and/or Director of results that are out of specification;

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications

Enters results and raw data for tested materials or products in Laboratory Information Management System as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline with knowledge and experience in one of the following areas: Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1-3 years of laboratory experience in related field.

Must have applied working knowledge of various laboratory instrumentation.

Acknowledge and process all quality documentation regarding production

Associates Degree, technical trade school or minimum 4 years industry technical experience

Chemical solvent testing experience preferred

Strong Customer Service Skills with the ability to follow up and follow through

Flexibility with scheduling and adapt to business requirements & needs

Follow and engage in the safety initiatives/programs & protocol at the site.

Support all activities of QC in the absence of the manager (calibrations, staffing, product decisions,etc.)

Maintain integrity of the quality management system (QMS) and ensure compliance.

Familiarity with Quality Management systems and understanding of its application to manufacturing processes.

Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science based degree program, and/or combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database.

Knowledge to ensure ethical behavior and safety standards as required by the company and OSHA guidelines.

Ability to obtain state certifications as required.

This is a rotating shift position. Salary is based on qualifications and experience.

Knowledge of Analytical Chemistry preferred.

Perform Quality Control tests on finished products according to established procedures.

Review all analysis results with supervisor, and grade all finished lots when testing is complete.

Enter all data into the laboratory database system.

Retain all finished samples and keep the retain sample room well organized and clean.

Follow process guidelines and expedite quality concerns to management

Experience with food safety (e.g., AIB certification, operations prerequisite programs, UP lights, etc.)

Experience with audit compliance (e.g., monitoring, documentation, variance explanation, etc.)

Experience with product changeovers (e.g., CIP, flavor changes, sanitizing, setting formulas, etc.)

Experience operating testing instruments (e.g., Carbo Qc, HPLC, Densitometers, Water Testing, etc.)

Experience following standards of operations (SOPs) (e.g., following procedures, etc.)

Additional responsibilities as assigned by Quality management.

Assist with management of retention materials, laboratory equipment maintenance and repair, and other projects as directed.

Knowledge of basic validation, equipment calibration, equipment maintenance and change requirements

Effectively manage multiple responsibilities and complete tasks on schedule

Position requires occasional overtime as designated by Operations/Quality management. Overtime duties may be outside of direct area of responsibility.

Related experience should be in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), or medical device Quality Assurance role

Conduct On the Job Training in accordance with NWDTP and contract requirements

Provides instruction to new hires and current employees as required to maintain and improve marksmanship skills

Must be able to obtain and maintain instructor certifications as required.

Develop and conduct required training programs for new hires and current employees

Conduct and report the Screening Operation Assessment Report (SOAR)

Experience with implementing effective QA/QC programs preferred.

Experience operating and troubleshooting automated laboratory equipment (such as HPLC or GC) preferred.

Experience with software programs such as Office, LIMS, Pi or SAP preferred.

Experience with Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) preferred.

Assists in implementing plant QA/QC program.

Ensures accuracy of analysis of samples and provides results in a timely manner.

Work under the supervision of the Quality Control Department Manager, with guidance from the Conversion Department Supervisor and Leads.

Minimum age requirement of 18.

Ensure that all produced goods meet quality specifications and adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures).

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Accurate reading of a tape measure.

Self-directed and able to multitask.

Managing project teams specifically assigned responsibilities related to sampling, environmental chemistry, laboratory analysis, data validation, and/or data management.

Serving as prime point of contact with clients, management, and subcontractors.

Familiarity with analytical database management systems such as LIMS, Microsoft Access, SQL, Locus EIM, EQuIS, and GIS desired.

Working collaboratively with HGL's Chemistry manager for ensuring resources for chemistry technical operations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Working knowledge of instrumentation used for environmental analysis (e.g., LC-MS/MS, GC/MS, ICP, GC-ECD, IC, etc.)

Performs general laboratory support activities including reagent preparation, sample management, equipment maintenance, lab housekeeping and 5S activities, etc.

Involve in supply management to ensure there are sufficient reference standard, reagents, supplies prior to your testing.

3 years of hands on experience with HPLC and UV instrumentation and chromatographic software.

Follow current test methods and/or protocols to perform analytical testing.

Maintain compliance to data integrity and cGMP in QC lab in line FDA and ICH guidance.

May assist with troubleshooting of assay methods and equipment.
