Title: Quality Control Lab Technician

Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Shift: 1st shift

JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision, assists in the daily operations of the quality control department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage in and exhibit 5S behaviors.
• Acknowledge and process all quality documentation regarding production.
• Make effective material additions that ensure product design.
• Minimize errors through document proofing/review.
• Support other technicians through coaching, training, and troubleshooting.
• Display effective training with successful execution of WI & SOP.
• Directs and coordinates all quality control department staff.
• Label and retain production material to provide traceability.
• Support calibration and equipment verification systems.
• Independently adjust products, fix/use Work-off.
• Performs standardized quality control tests.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure product meets specifications.
• Actively support quality investigations, problem solving.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
• Demonstrate best practice to facilitate KPI & site metrics expectations.
• Follow SMART guiding principles with task/project achievements.
• Maintain quality control records in accordance with ISO standards.
• Maintain lab and equipment with high standards in a clean working environment.
• Approve completed batches against prescribed specifications.
• Support all activities of QC in the absence of the manager (calibrations, staffing, product decisions,etc.)
• Perform any external support for the business as requested from leadership.
• Schedules and assigns work based on priorities of group leader or supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Graduate or equivalent. College coursework or degree preferred.
• 1-5 years quality control experience
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
• Must possess good mathematical and analytical skills.
• Be capable of leading the work of others to ensure progress.
