Job Description
  • Normal office environment and equipment. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Some driving.
  • Knowledge of nursing management practices and procedures as acquired through three years nursing experience in healthcare assuming a leadership or change role. Minimum of 2 years experience in home care setting preferred.

  • Responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of patient care services and professional and non-professional employees, and coordination of material resources for assigned area/unit. Under the general supervision of Director, responsible for the care delivered by nursing personnel and Hospice aides, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Patient Care Manager is subject to call-back as required by the agency. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of patient care utilizing the continuous quality improvement process. Serves as peer trainer for new professional staff and support person for staff and students utilizing Hospice as the clinical setting. Routinely, assigns and responsibly directs staff. This position is required to utilize independent judgement.
  • Physical
  • Skill and proficiency in applying the principles, concepts, and techniques, which are central to the nursing profession. Knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of patients appropriate to the patient’s age as normally acquired through completion of an Associate degree, diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Current licensure or permit as a registered nurse in the state of Arkansas.
