Electrical Designer/Drafter Jobs

We are seeking a professional Electrical Engineering Designer to join our Buildings & Facilities division! STV, Inc. specializes in the planning, organization, and development of engineering activities for the construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities.

Our engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national, and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out.

Responsibilities:

You will have the opportunity to:

• Be able to read, interpret, and check vendor drawings and vendor catalogs.
• Manage budget and schedule for the project’s resources and deliverables.
• Travel independently to and conduct site surveys to document electrical, instrumentation, and controls at existing client sites and facilities (~ 5% of time).
• Ensure that layer names, line types, text sizes, and drawing arrangements are in accordance with standards as set forth on the Project.
• Apply client and departmental design guidelines and/or drafting standards in daily work assignments with guidance from senior staff.
• Plan own daily work and the work of other team members.

Required Experience:

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Associate’s or Technical degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and/or CADworx.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
