Golf Shop Sales Attendant Jobs

Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation, and sophisticated communication skills.

Knowledge of Golf is required.

Cashier skills and minimal financial skills.

Must have knowledge of merchandise and equipment.

Experience using software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), second language is an asset.

Customer service experience. Basic Golf Knowledge.

Responsible for marshaling, starting, and outside services as needed and requested.

You are comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity.

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Manage long standing relationships of 30+ clubs while supporting the larger territories overall business and development

Analyze the digital business weekly, reporting trends and ensuring the sales and product flow to the account is proactively managed

Manage all direct expenses within/below established budgets

Strong retail analysis and computer skills - outlook, word, excel, powerpoint, etc

Effective interpersonal, communication, presentation skills

Utilize business to business technology platforms to drive multi gender seasonal plans, maximizing the RL presence in each shop

Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred

Promote Company programs, including customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.

Perform other tasks as assigned.

Assist the management and daily operations of the Golf Shop, Guest Services and the Driving Range.

Exceptional grooming habits including maintaining clean and complete uniform as designated by Management.

Perform and Manage all required opening & closing procedures and security of the owner’s assets.

Perform other duties as requested by WGP Corporate Staff, and/or the Facility Operations Manager.

Manage and Maintain constant communication with the Starter/Greeter, Guest Services Manager, Cart Attendants, and Player Assistants.

Complete state-mandated TIPS certification for safe alcoholic beverage sales and service (canned beer, etc.)

Maintains a thorough knowledge of products, services, merchandise promotions, and advertising.

Responsible for the implementation of merchandise presentation standards, signage in the Softlines/Hardlines Departments to meet company standards and to maximize profit.

Assists in training Softlines/Hardlines teammates in company procedures and programs, including new hire and ongoing merchandising and product/technical training.

Communicates all company information to Softlines/Hardlines teammates regarding special promotions and company programs.

Responsible for processing and pricing of the trade-in/used club business.

Customer service experience. Basic Golf Knowledge.

Provide shop assistance to the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Tournament Coordinators.

Aides athletes by ascertaining their needs and directing them to the golf services area that most effectively meets their needs.

Make equipment and accessory recommendations tailored to the customer.

Increase store revenue and profitability through a proven process.

Promote Company programs including but not limited to, ScoreCard loyalty, product warranty, private label credit card enrollment, etc.

Organization & Time Management Skills

Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:

Provides input and recommendations on product requirements and needs.

Technical skills (golf equipment, computers, etc.)

Minimum 2 years of inside/outside sales experience or industry experience with golf related products (soft goods preferred)

Work in conjunction with the Key Market Sales Rep to develop the business within the defined territory.

High school degree or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years related merchandising and golf industry experience.

Strong verbal communication and organizational skills.

Private Membership Golf Club Experience Preferred.

Assists in the receiving of merchandise, pricing merchandise, entering into POS system, and monitoring inventory levels.

Assists in ensuring stockrooms are kept organized so that items are easy to locate.

Assists with inventory control on a daily, monthly, and annual basis
