Overview A Federal Budget Analyst is responsible for analyzing and preparing the federal budget for an agency or department. They are responsible for ensuring that the budget is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. They must also ensure that the budget is accurate and up-to-date. Detailed Job Description A Federal Budget Analyst is responsible for preparing and analyzing the federal budget for an agency or department. This includes researching and analyzing financial data, developing and implementing budget plans, and monitoring and evaluating budget performance. They must also ensure that the budget is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. They must also ensure that the budget is accurate and up-to-date. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of federal budgeting and accounting principles
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Ability to analyze financial data
• Ability to develop and implement budget plans
• Ability to monitor and evaluate budget performance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• At least two years of experience in budgeting and/or financial analysis
• CPA or CMA certification preferred

• Knowledge of financial analysis techniques
