Facilities Systems Coordinator Jobs

Drives Metro maintenance vehicles, including utility trucks and cargo vans, to various locations to repair and maintain Metro facilities and equipment

Checks and maintains fire pumps, fire sprinklers, and wet and dry standpipes

Performs complex wiring, installation, and utilization of conduits

Provides safety watch support by directing train movement and performing flagging while supporting maintenance and contractor personnel

Performs preventive and demand maintenance of high rise headquarters building equipment and electrical systems, including fire pumps and fire alarm system

Troubleshoots and maintains systems with programmable logic and solid state controllers

Eight - ten years of occupational-specific experience

Knowledge of existing City, State, Federal Codes

Manager - Electrical Systems - Facilities

NYC Special Electricians License (required by code when performing electrical work in NYC)

Ability to read and interpret Blue Prints

Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality issues with suppliers and internal departments for categories managed

Previous experience in the shipping/receiving/facilities department.

Serves as the system technical resource to all City departments; identifies, designs and develops system applications.

Exercises functional and technical supervision over assigned staff.

Represent the City in inter-agency coordination activities relating to assigned system.

This position reports to the Facilities Manager.

Assist the Facility Manager with tasks as needed.

Ensure that the Facilities Management Services are performed and delivered in accordance with contracts, proposals and strategies.

3+ years of related experience in facilities

Completion of HSD or equivalent education

Ensure that the buildings for which responsibility is held are presentable, clean, safe and an acceptable environment for occupants and visitors.

General knowledge on Fire Suppressant Systems

Responsible for building sanitation and minor repairs;

Inspects and monitors the facility for potential safety and security problems;

Maintains pest control records for the facility in accordance to Feeding America and AIB Standards;

Performs minor electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical repairs;

Assists outside contractors with repairs and maintenance to the facility;

Facilities Management and Technical Skills

Serves as a liaison between the Facilities department and building management staff.

May provide other administrative support, data management, clerical or other duties as needed.

Familiarity with Excel for data management and Outlook for scheduling and email communications

Reviews and submits employee supply and work requests to Facilities Manager/Director for approval.

Responds to, and records reports of environmental hazards, alerting the Facilities Manager and/or Director of all matters requiring attention.

Use engineering skills and disciplined analytics and problem solving to deliver best-in-class system reliability including safe, uninterrupted factory operation.

On-call responsibilities; act as first point of contact for all engineering related issues.

Curiosity and a predisposition for learning and problem solving skills.

Any experience with ASU (Air Separation Unit).
