Emergency Services Dispatcher Trainee Jobs in Ohio

Type while listening and speaking on the telephone. Exhibit excellent telephone etiquette and listening skills.

Receive telephone requests and transmit alpha pages in rapid succession. Display good communication skills. Maintain professionalism at all times.

Notify supervisor or managers of potential situations and unreasonable response times. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for departmental operations.

Demonstrate personal computer literacy and basic knowledge of Microsoft office.

Possess working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures

Manage incoming and outgoing communications related to support services

Prior knowledge of Police Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management System (RMS) systems

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent listening and comprehension skills

Previous experience with public safety and customer service

Classroom learning with hands-on computer training

Simulation exercises, study and practice time

Telephone experience within a public safety setting

Receive and record telephone calls; receive and transmit communication dispatching personnel and equipment to all UC campuses.

Maintain radio, teletype and other required records.

Operate with a headset or handset for radio and phone functionality
