Communicate with hospital management, supervisors, security, and other hospital staff through memo reports, surveys, and evaluations

Supervise and assist security staff

Escort clients to and from medical appointments

Plan, coordinate, direct, and control security activities, responses, and actions

Patrol campus in vehicle and on-foot, provide protection for hospital staff, patients, visitors, and property

Intervene and de-escalate in uncertain/crisis situations

Provide security presence, walk-throughs, and safety checks on the wards

Act as liaison between emergency responders and the hospital leadership; gather information for Law Enforcement, identify witnesses, and obtain initial statements

Confiscate and secure contraband, write reports

Respond to fire, smoke, intrusion, and burglar alarms

Utilize cosmetology knowledge and experience to provide clients with current hairstyles

Knowledge of current concepts, principles, and methods for professional hair services and hygiene

Shampoo, condition, rinse, cut, and style hair using a variety of tools in the salon and living areas

Demonstrate safe techniques during cosmetology sessions with clients to ensure non-interference with specialized equipment

Maintain inventory of cosmetology supplies and equipment

Schedule appointments, track the cosmetology needs of clients, and retain client records

Ability to communicate through oral and written forms of communication with management, peers, patients, and the public

Assist, manage, and coordinate the safety and security of patients' personal possessions

Two years of experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting

A current Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) or Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC/CNA) within the State of Washington

Skills to assist with potentially assaultive or self-harming patients

Working knowledge of group behavior and dynamics
