While this consultant concept was brought to life over 50 yrs. ago, it has been re-enlivened and applied to the state hospital model of care.
Our services provide comprehensive assessments and detailed recommendations to the respective treatment teams. These will include specific psychopharmacologic, medical, behavioral, and other evidence-based interventions and the relevant staff education and training to facilitate their implementations. Our Staff members provide direct care, specialized services, and evidence-based individual/group therapies to adults with severe psychiatric conditions.

King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use.
Some of what you'll do:
- Demonstrate safe techniques during cosmetology sessions with clients to ensure non-interference with specialized equipment
- Shampoo, condition, rinse, cut, and style hair using a variety of tools in the salon and living areas
- Utilize cosmetology knowledge and experience to provide clients with current hairstyles
- Schedule appointments, track the cosmetology needs of clients, and retain client records
- Maintain inventory of cosmetology supplies and equipment
- Follow sanitation and disinfection standards
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to receive instruction, assimilate the information, and act accordingly
- Ability to use patience, tolerance, and respect toward others
- Knowledge of current concepts, principles, and methods for professional hair services and hygiene
Professionals with a valid Washington State Cosmetology License and one year of hairstyling work experience.
