Description

Mental Health Technician 2

Apply to join our team as we pioneer services at the Former Cascade Behavioral Health Hospital in Tukwila!

We are hiring innovative, empathetic, dedicated professionals ready to join our team for a new, cutting-edge career move. Our Patients and Staff need hope, compassion, and patience as we build bridges of trust and collaboration through consulting, teaching, and modeling. While this consultant concept was brought to life over 50 yrs. ago, it has been re-enlivened and applied to the state hospital model of care.

Our services provide comprehensive assessments and detailed recommendations to the respective treatment teams. These will include specific psychopharmacologic, medical, behavioral, and other evidence-based interventions and the relevant staff education and training to facilitate their implementations. Our Staff members provide direct care, specialized services, and evidence-based individual/group therapies to adults with severe psychiatric conditions.

Here is your opportunity to use your empathic engagement skills to be part of a robust and compassionate team that promotes recovery principles and develops therapeutic relationships with our staff and patients. This is an exciting opportunity for a meaningful career where you will have a chance every day to grow, enjoy the work you do, and help us in our mission of transforming lives together.

King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use.

Our Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) mission to Transform Lives requires that we come together with a sense of belonging, common purpose, shared values, and meaningful work. It is crucial to our agency’s mission that you bring equity, anti-racism, and social justice commitment to your work with DSHS.
