Accountable for experimental science and project management of biology-related CRO engagements

Manage the development and execution of novel biological assays that will inform platform and program advancement.

Manage, oversee, train, and mentor scientists and research associates.

PhD in neuroscience, biology, or related field, with >5 years of industry experience leading early preclinical assay development efforts.

Experience in high-content automated fluorescence microscopy and/or multi-electrode array screening is a plus.

Experience managing external efforts with contract research organizations and academic collaborators.

Experience with advanced in vitro model systems including organoids and other 3D culture systems is highly preferred

Experience with RNAi is preferred

Strong oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to group projects in a team-oriented environment

SiRNA drug candidate screening, hit identification, and lead optimization

Cellular and molecular biology methodologies, e.g., mammalian cell culture; in vitro screening; cell-based assays; PCR

In vivo drug candidate testing (e.g. mouse dosing; sample analysis)

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team

Oversee and manage evaluation of mechanism of action studies including: cellular/tissue uptake, sub-cellular trafficking, and target engagement using the EDO molecules

Manage a portfolio of projects and ensure they are executed on time and on budget

At least 10 years of experience in academia, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry

Experience managing teams of scientists and leading oligonucleotide drug discovery projects from target identification to clinical development

Strong scientific background and knowledge of the latest scientific and technological developments in the oligonucleotide field

User research knowledge and experience (1:1, focus group, etc.).

Knowledge of business design, finance, marketing, operations, or other business areas.

You seek out problems to solve and often find yourself imagining new solutions in everyday experiences.

Experience with Design Thinking/Human-centered design (IDEO methodology), UXR, or a social economics background.

Passion for product discovery with product delivery capabilities.

Experience using creative tools such as Figma or the Adobe Suite.

Lead technology transfer of core discovery capabilities into Invivyd Labs

Bring innovative expert scientific knowledge and credibility to discovery and preclinical research.

Manage a scientific team of 5-8 researchers.

Ph.D. with at least 5-8 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience, preferably in antibody drug discovery and development.

Ability to design, manage and interpret outsourced non-clinical studies with collaborators, CROs including timelines and budgets.

Excellent verbal and written technical and non-technical communication skills.

Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline and 5+ years of academic / industry experience

OR Master's Degree in a scientific discipline 3+ years of academic / industry experience

OR PhD in a scientific discipline No experience required

Protein purification experience including method development, optimization, and the ability to troubleshoot standard purification protocols and instrumentation.

Experience with larger scale protein production (CMC, and tech transfer experience is a plus).

Hands on experience in the operation and control of chromatography workstations (AKTA, BioRad, etc.).
