Inventory Management Skills: Experience in tracking inventory, ensuring all materials and products are accurately accounted for.

Experience in a Manufacturing Environment: Previous experience in an administrative role within a manufacturing setting is desirable.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer software, especially Microsoft Office Suite and any industry-specific software.

Uses knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products.

Sustains a high level of product knowledge and product preparation.

Preferred 1 -2 years grocery retail experience in Food Service department processes and procedures.

Bakery/Deli Clerk should offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.

Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.

Notify management of customer or employee accidents.

Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.

Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will be able to inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.

Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.

Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed)

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Retail or food service experience preferred.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have at least 3 months experience in fast food or retail with customer service duties

Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and presentation helpful

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Request and record customer orders, and compute bills using electronic cash register
