Correctional Food Service Coordinator Jobs in South Carolina

Preferred qualifications: two (2) years’ experience in quantity and quality cooking and one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Manages and directs the operation of the food service program with a population of 1300 inmates.

A high school diploma and supervisory experience in quantity and quality cooking.

Experience in a correctional environment is preferred.

Interviews, hires, evaluates, and terminates all civilian and inmate food service employees.

Trains and instructs all employees in all phases of their duties, to include training in sanitation.

Supervises all food service personnel in the performance of their daily duties.

Responsible for development, implementation, oversight, instruction, and evaluation of agency sanctioned programs.

Assist programs, reentry, and rehabilitative services with hands on development of specialized programs.

Help recruit volunteers from the community to assist in program facilitation.

Teach courses/programs, help train inmates as peer-to-peer facilitators, and oversee program facilitation.

Perform other duties upon request of the assistant deputy director for programs and the institution's warden.

Ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision, and with discretion.
